Furniture Reupholstery

This process can involve a complete strip down and re-build if necessary, using modern and traditional materials, or a facelift recovering the original fabric with new.

If a piece of furniture has a sound frame and is appreciated for its comfort and style, there is no need to replace it, instead have the item reupholstered. It can be significantly cheaper than replacing with new, especially for quality brands of furniture such as G-Plan, Ercol, Minty, and Parker Knoll, you already know that it fits your home and is comfortable.

It is more environmentally friendly than buying new and is far less effort as we come to you! Your furniture will not go to waste and end up in landfill. We offer a collection and delivery service so you will not have to lift a finger. Our network of leading fabric suppliers allows us to offer an extensive range of high quality and durable fabrics all tailor made to your requirements.

How the service works

  1. Decide on the specific job requirements.
  2. Choose a fabric. (You are welcome to visit our showroom and pick a fabric, or alternatively we can arrange for samples to be sent to you direct).
  3. Get a quote. This will be broken down into, labour costs, replacement materials, fabric costs + and any extras.
  4. Pay 50% deposit. Once this is received, we can book you in and arrange for your furniture to be collected at a mutual convenient time and date.
  5. On completion we will call to arrange delivery.

The process

Strip down

Once we are happy with the frame, work will begin on the springs and webbing. Any springs and webbing that need replacing will be replaced.
Rebuild

Step 4 Rebuild

We will then begin to build the layers back up. Padding and stuffing is checked and replaced where required.
Cutting and sewing

Step 5 Cutting and sewing

Finally, with a frame and padding restored your chosen fabric is measured and cut and sewn to shape.
Upholstery

Step 6 Upholstery

The fabric outer shell is sewn together and fixed to the frame using either traditional or modern methods of upholstery depending on your preference.
