After sub­mit­ting a descrip­tion and pho­tos of our beloved chairs online, I was prompt­ly offered a quote and invite to Asnew’s show­room. My vis­it there was very pleas­ant, I was giv­en full atten­tion and friend­ly ser­vice — includ­ing four free sam­ples that were post­ed by mail to me for free. The chairs need­ed reweb­bing and com­plete reuphol­ster­ing. They were col­lect­ed at the agreed time and deliv­ered in two weeks time. Fan­tas­tic work, they are As New indeed! Grant­ed, the work was not cheap, but clear­ly done with love and the result is worth it.

We are delight­ed to have come upon AsNew, entire­ly by chance. The com­pa­ny was prompt in respond­ing and sent their fur­ni­ture expert to hear our require­ments for alter­ing the design of much loved, wood frame sofas. Lawrence redesigned to our phys­i­cal needs. We were invit­ed to go and check that the redesign before com­plet­ing the job. All the staff at AsNew were knowl­edge­able, cour­te­ous and help­ful in mak­ing our choic­es. It was deliv­ered in time, wrap­ping tak­en away. Equal­ly impor­tant­ly, the cost was most rea­son­able and eco­nom­i­cal, in com­par­i­son with oth­er local providers.

First-class work com­plet­ed with­in agreed timescale and at com­pet­i­tive price. Col­lec­tion and deliv­ery exact­ly at times agreed. Rec­om­mend with­out reservation.

I asked Asnew to re-uphol­ster din­ing chairs. Their qual­i­ty of ser­vice from the prompt col­lec­tion of the chairs to the return after the work was com­plete was of the high­est stan­dard. They only took one week to do the work. We are very pleased with the fin­ished product.

The whole process was car­ried over emails and send­ing sam­ples through the post. Gary was extreme­ly help­ful and patient with me and allowed me explore many options before decid­ing. There­after the process was seam­less. They called to arrange col­lec­tion when they said they would and deliv­ered the items back on time. The work was to a high qual­i­ty and the stools look like new. Very hap­py and will use them for future jobs.

A thor­ough­ly pro­fes­sion­al and cour­te­ous ser­vice from begin­ning to end. All our require­ments were under­stood and includ­ed in the fin­ished arti­cles. A huge choice of mate­ri­als and expert guid­ance in mak­ing the final choice. We have no hes­i­ta­tion in rec­om­mend­ing Asnew and will cer­tain­ly use them again.

This is the sec­ond time that we have used Asnew Uphol­stery (pre­vi­ous­ly reuphol­stered the two sofas). We are impressed with their effi­cien­cy and pro­fes­sion­al­ism and have no hes­i­tan­cy in rec­om­mend­ing them.

Took our 10 din­ing chairs that had been ruined by kit­tens to Asnew and they cov­ered them all real­ly well, great work. Very hap­py with the end result and the team who work there are all so nice, friend­ly and help­ful. They were very good at help­ing us to match mate­r­i­al too for the chairs. Would def­i­nite­ly rec­om­mend and we will use again.

From the ini­tial meet­ing to the final deliv­ery of our sofas I found the staff at Asnew to be knowl­edge­able, infor­ma­tive and a plea­sure to deal with. Our sofas need­ed re-uphol­stery, the frames required recov­er­ing with cal­i­co and sev­er­al cast­ers replac­ing. Staff were fan­tas­tic with their advice (and patience) with fab­ric selec­tion. When this was done and con­firmed by us, a col­lec­tion date was agreed and in fact both col­lec­tion and deliv­ery were slight­ly ear­li­er than quot­ed. We were absolute­ly delight­ed with the sofas as the work­man­ship on all areas was to an extreme­ly high standard.

Out­stand­ing cus­tomer ser­vice and work. From help with choos­ing fab­ric from their exten­sive library through to com­ple­tion, noth­ing was too much trou­ble. It’s a plea­sure to find such a pro­fes­sion­al business.

We had four old pieces of sen­ti­men­tal val­ue. Asnew have done a fine job. The two chairs are now plump, crisp and beau­ti­ful­ly piped, real­ly sharp. The Vic­to­ri­an chaise and chair look amaz­ing, the but­ton back­ing is tech­ni­cal­ly superb. My par­ents were in the antique trade and they would have been pleased with the result, although Mum is prob­a­bly spin­ning at the fab­ric I select­ed. It all looks so love­ly, can’t stop admir­ing it. So good to deal with skilled, com­mit­ted, enthu­si­as­tic crafts­peo­ple who have a high stan­dard of cus­tomer ser­vice. A sim­ply beau­ti­ful job. Great ser­vice, very satisfied

The sofa which was about 25 years old has been giv­en a new lease of life. The new cov­ers are beau­ti­ful­ly made and fit­ted, and the cush­ions are nice an firm.

We were real­ly pleased with the trans­for­ma­tion of our much-loved but tired fam­i­ly chair. Asnew real­ly brought it back to life in an amaz­ing way.

Beau­ti­ful work. I chose a num­ber of dif­fer­ent fab­rics and a ​‘patch­work’ chair was cre­at­ed for me. I am thrilled with it. A great com­pa­ny to work with and every­one I had deal­ings with were pro­fes­sion­al, cour­te­ous and fun to engage with. I am so hap­py with my chair!

The pro­gramme of work was care­ful­ly dis­cussed and planned out with As New’s rep­re­sen­ta­tive. I was informed when my chairs would be col­lect­ed and this hap­pened as stat­ed. I was told when the work was com­plet­ed and giv­en a time for deliv­ery. This, again, hap­pened as arranged. The men col­lect­ing and deliv­er­ing were very pleas­ant and help­ful. The work car­ried ot was of a high stan­dard and I am very satisfied.

Asnew could not have been bet­ter. They restored our piano stool to its for­mer glo­ry and the reuphol­ster­ing was done to such a high stan­dard. Would high­ly rec­om­mend (and use) them in the future.

This is the third time we have used Asnew for fur­ni­ture reuphol­stery and the biggest project so far. From the first vis­it to the show­room, where Fiona used her exper­tise to turn the ​“gree­ny-peachy splodge” brief into the beau­ti­ful fab­rics and fur­nish­ings that we are now enjoy­ing, every­thing went smooth­ly and pro­fes­sion­al­ly. The work­man­ship is out­stand­ing but, more impor­tant­ly, all the staff are unfail­ing­ly help­ful and a plea­sure to deal with. They kind­ly stored the fur­ni­ture for longer than agreed due to a delay in dec­o­rat­ing being com­plet­ed. We can­not rec­om­mend them high­ly enough.

Can­not rate Asnew high­ly enough for both qual­i­ty of work and ser­vice. Our fur­ni­ture is superb and worked on by real crafts­men who take care with every detail. In terms of ser­vice the plan­ning, timetable and com­mu­ni­ca­tion was very client friend­ly and the deliv­ery team got fur­ni­ture out of and into the house with care and made sure every­thing was kept clean. High­ly recommend

From the very begin­ning this com­pa­ny was fan­tas­tic. They encour­aged me to take my time and helped me to select a suit­able mate­r­i­al. Sam­ples were ordered from their huge selec­tion and even­tu­al­ly in the com­fort of my own home I was able to choose. We inher­it­ed a post WW2 chair which has been abused over the years and has almost been thrown away on occa­sion. Sev­er­al decades lat­er, Gary and team as AsNew restored this chair using Chris­t­ian LaCroix fab­ric. It has brought the chair bang upto date and the charm of the chair is still present. We’re delight­ed with the job Asnew have done to trans­form a sec­ond­hand sofa we bought from BHF. The whole process took 150 days from ini­tial enquiry to deliv­ered prod­uct. Karen was patient and help­ful when we vis­it­ed the show­room to pick out a fab­ric. We were then giv­en an accu­rate and real­is­tic esti­mate of the lead time. They col­lect­ed our sofa a few days ear­ly and returned it with­in 3 weeks. I inher­it­ed the chaise­longue from my moth­er who unfor­tu­nate­ly made a few non authen­tic changes. Asnew called a few times to explain what was done to the item pre­vi­ous­ly and to check how I want­ed it restored. I want­ed it back to the orig­i­nal style and am real­ly pleased with the result. Bril­liant end result. There was a long wait­ing list, but once the chair was col­lect­ed it only took a week. Very polite on the phone and in per­son. I found the assis­tance in pick­ing a new fab­ric very use­ful and also nice deliv­ery peo­ple. It’s expen­sive but the craft­man­ship is superb and the chair has sen­ti­men­tal val­ue to me so cer­tain­ly worth it.

I can­not com­mend the qual­i­ty of work too high­ly — what they have done is lit­tle short of a work of art for detailed pat­tern-match­ing, painstak­ing effort to erase years of scratch­es and dents to the wood­work and aston­ish­ing improve­ment of com­fort. I was also impressed by the clear com­mit­ment they showed to doing the best for the chairs as well as for me! I have used Asnew for many years for re uphol­ster­ing. The qual­i­ty of their work is excel­lent, and this lat­est ser­vice was no excep­tion. Real­ly chal­leng­ing job giv­en unique con­struc­tion of this 1970’s mod­ernist sofa. But AsNew did­n’t charge us a pre­mi­um for this and then went the extra mile to match the unusu­al but­tons even though these took some extra time to find and obtain. Real­ly impressed with the qual­i­ty of the work­man­ship — the chairs have come back look­ing like new…so they real­ly do live up to their name!

The work was car­ried out over a peri­od of 8 months which was par­tial­ly due to the Coro­n­avirus. We had mod­ern and antique pieces of fur­ni­ture restored and re-uphol­stered. The process from begin­ning to end has been amaz­ing. The staff sup­port­ed and worked with us over a peri­od of time and the com­mu­ni­ca­tion has been excel­lent. We built up a good work­ing rela­tion­ship dur­ing this process. Every­one is so enthu­si­as­tic about the work they pro­duce and to see the trans­for­ma­tion is bril­liant. A big thank to you every­one involved and a big thank you to Fiona who has been a star.

Very hap­py with this com­pa­ny. The lady who helped us choose the fab­ric was very patient and we felt we had a very good range to choose from. Costs were fair val­ue for the work done and allowed us to keep our Ercol frames which we love. The qual­i­ty of the work was excel­lent.
