Living room makeover using our extra support and guidance service from the showroom.

DSC 4030

Our client was a previous customer who approached us with the brief to recover their traditional ‘MultiYork Classic’ three-piece suite. They wanted to freshen up their living room by recovering their furniture, decorating the walls, and having new curtains made.

"This is the third time we have used Asnew for furniture reupholstery and the biggest project so far. From the first visit to the showroom, where Fiona used her expertise to turn the “greeny-peachy splodge” brief into the beautiful fabrics and furnishings that we are now enjoying, everything went smoothly and professionally. The workmanship is outstanding but, more importantly, all the staff are unfailingly helpful and a pleasure to deal with. They kindly stored the furniture for longer than agreed due to a delay in decorating being completed. We cannot recommend them highly enough." - S.Stevens

What we did

Our clients booked a FREE fabric consultation in our fantastic showroom, they had a vision and described the colours and ‘look’ they wanted to create, working together we were able to make their vision a reality.

From what they described the Villa Nova fabrics seem to be the perfect fit. Previously all of their furniture had been covered in the same fabric, so it was fun mixing and matching fabrics and textures to build a fun and exciting scheme.

We provided a home visit to take accurate measurements for curtains and to finalise the scatter cushion combination.

Two Seater

The two seater was covered in a fabric called 'Maleke', a multi-coloured, textured weave with a chunky texture. The overall colour is light and with lines of teal running through it which complement the clients wallpaper and other fabrics perfectly.

Three Seater

The largest three seater sofa was covered in a fabric called 'Potting Shed' the bold print was Inspired by a kitchen garden, the design depicts an abstract potting shed nestled in rows of vegetables rendered with large brush strokes. The large sofa holds the abstract print well and acts as colour pallite for the rest of the room; a base for the accompanying weaves and velvets.

The Armchair

Our client asked if we could raise the armchair by 7cm which we did very sympathetically. By keeping the valance, the same depth as the other pieces of furniture the chair doesn’t look any different. The fabric is a deep teal colour with a luxurious texture that and draws in colours from the curtains and sofas.

Cartridge Headed Curtains

With a modern cartridge heading the new curtains hang beautifully and create the perfect backdrop for the furniture to sit. The floral design has movement and combines all of the colours in the room.

Scatter Cushion

A mixture of different size square and lumber cushions piped, and uniped helps to tie everything together. Scatter cushions are a great way to introduce different textures and help to add interest finishing off the room perfectly.
