William Morris Chair

William Morris, Rosehip

This buttoned back chair has undergone a complete transformation. Stripping off the original fabric we found the original horse hair upholstery. The new fabric is by William Morris and is called Rosehip. The Rosehip design was originally taken from a tile, the motifs were hand cut and hand printed from lino giving an authentic hand block printed look. The fabric interpretation of the pattern creates an interlocking design that works well with the buttoned back of the chair as the pattern organically flows in and out of the buttoning.
